About Me
Within all of us, there are stories. They are carried in our bodies, locked away in our memories, lying dormant in the attic, scrawled into the pages of a journal, and crafted into manuscripts. There are kinks and rifts, hard lines and nuances, areas where we hold back even when we want to let go.
I'm a writer and massage therapist, continually intrigued by the links between our physical experiences of the world and the stories we carry with us.
I work with clients one on one in my private practice, and occasionally teach workshops on writing language, and physical awareness. I have delved into a variety of education and professional realms. In addition to my massage therapy and bodywork training, I have studied psychoanalysis, intercultural communication, literature, and creative writing. Each of these disciplines has had an impact on how I understand the world and my fellow humans. These areas of knowledge consistently inform my work, and my ability to evaluate and respond to situations beyond my own personal experience. I am currently in the second year of a four year practitioner training program for the Feldenkrais Method, a way of working with the body through movement to discover and develop more optimal and efficient ways of moving.
